Available spots
Service Description
This is a two part workshop. Part 1 - making. Part 2 - decorating. We will make a Christmas tree tea light holder and some small characters of your choice. I will guide you through the process and demonstrate techniques along the way, rolling a slab for the cone shaped tree and cutting holes for the light to shine through. The small figures could be Scandinavian Gnomes, Carol singers or Santa to stand by the tree. All can be made with slabs and pinching techniques. We will be using a white earthenware clay which I will fire in the kiln ready for you to come back and decorate in two weeks time, using underglaze colours. Your work will then be dipped in a transparent glaze and be fired for a second time, making the colours pop and shine! The dates – Sunday 15th November and Sunday 29th November 2026 Time 10am - 3pm with a break for lunch on 15th 10am to 1pm on 29th The cost per person is £70. This includes both sessions, all materials and 2 firings. Tea, coffee and biscuits also included.
