Discover a vital piece of the history of the British Isles…

The Land of the Marcher Lords is based on villages created during the turbulent period around 900 years ago when the Normans were trying to gain control over the ‘no man’s land’ that was between the settled English midlands and the wild highlands of Wales. These villages were inhabited by labourers from England and France, who were drafted in to build the castles that were used as part of the attempt to subjugate the area.
